What anti-cheat does Call of Duty use?
Call of Duty uses RICOCHET Anti-Cheat. Activision describes it as a multi-layer system with server analytics and a PC kernel-level driver that runs while protected titles are open. Warzone, Black Ops 6, Black Ops 7, and other modern titles sit under that umbrella.
Is it kernel-level?
Yes on PC while the game runs. The driver turns on with the title and off when you close it, according to official Call of Duty materials. That depth is why fragile public injectors burn out.
How it works in practice
Client and driver checks watch software that interacts with the game. Server systems look at match data and weird aim or information patterns. Secure Boot and TPM show up in trust requirements. Seasonal updates keep pressure on unauthorized input devices and attestation-style checks.
DMA angle
Direct memory paths are a known target across modern FPS anti-cheats. Our suite’s full Call of Duty cheats feature set requires Cloud DMA hosted on AWS. That does not mean invisible forever. It means the delivery model matches what the product page states.
